In the abstract game for 2 players by Yoann<br />

and Anthony Grasso, Triade; 10 pieces<br />

per player can be arranged in four di�erent<br />

starting positions. A piece is is removed<br />

when it is surrounded by three opposing<br />

pieces or two pieces and a border. Another<br />

game shown at the booth was Jukatai, a<br />

game on �ghting techniques for 2-4 players,<br />

ages 7+.<br />

Le Joueur<br />

The booth presented a preview on the 2012<br />

novelties; headed by Trahison!, a game on<br />

intrigues and negotiations by Guillaume<br />

Besancon who is also the designer of the<br />

Cité expansion that has been announced. 2<br />

de Mayo is the French edition of the GenX<br />

game and Aperitivo is a game on beer<br />

mats arranged in a circle.<br />

At the Iello booth Christian Lemay presented<br />

the game Tra��c by Annick Lobet for<br />

2-4 players, ages 8+, a game on observation<br />

and reactions on the topic of cards. You can<br />

relocate one piece in order to form a con-<br />

�guration shown on one of your cards and<br />

to discard the card; all play at the same time.<br />

Ledroitdeperdre<br />

Taggle by Yves Hirschfeld and Fabien<br />

Bleuze is a game of reaction and communication<br />

for 1(1) to 5 players; as the active<br />

player you read out a question to each of the<br />

other players in turn, which he must answer<br />

as fast as he can with one of the choices on<br />

his card; the active player decides which answer<br />

was the best one in his opinion.<br />

Very up to date and interesting – a game on<br />

the French Presidential Elections, La Course<br />

à l’Élysee by Abel Lanzac for 3-6 players,<br />

ages 154+, the most important element of<br />

the game are real debates on political issues.<br />

Libellud<br />

As in Nuremberg Libellud showed Dixit Jinx<br />

by Joseph M. Allué and Dominique Ehrhard,<br />

3-6 players, ages 8+, now must �nd creative<br />

connotations to rather abstract shapes and<br />

symbols. Always full were the games where<br />

one could test-play Seasons by Régis Bonnessée,<br />

a combination of a card game and<br />

a dice game for 2-4 players, ages 12+. In the<br />

�rst phase of the game you draw nine cards<br />

which you split into 3 x 3 cards for the game<br />

itself; in phase two you use dice which<br />

provide actions to achieve the aim of the<br />

game which is collecting crystals for victory<br />

points. Still ongoing, but obviously only intended<br />
