Dating back to the 1920’s thebuilding has six simple, elegantly furnisheddouble rooms and a lounge areaoverlooking the adjacent river. Two of thebedrooms have private bathrooms whilstthe other four share two commonbathrooms. Dotted around are quiet,comfortable nooks and crannies to relax inafter a day out in the snows of SwedishLapland. Run by your hosts Maya andMikael their passion is pantry stocked withfresh fish from local rivers and lakes andwild reindeer and elk meat.DAY 1 UK - LAPLAND Scheduled SASflight(s) from London Heathrow to Kirunain Swedish Lapland via Stockholm. Privatetransfer on arrival to the village ofJunosuando and Aurora Retreat.DAY 2 SNOWMOBILE SAFARI Beginyour retreat with a snowmobile safari outacross frozen wetlands on which you canrev up a bit and along trails in the forest(2 hours). Return to the hotel and soak upthe rural ambiance in this little corner ofthe world where time has stood still.Dinner at the hotel.DAY 3 HUSKY SAFARI After breakfast it’stime to mush your own team of huskiesalong a snow carpeted trail through theAURORA RETREATforest with the silence broken only by thewhooshing sound of the slicing sleighrunners. Stop for a snack lunch en routeand stretch your auditory senses to thefull. (3 to 4 hours). Return to the AuroraRetreat.
