Spendtime in a local atelier seeing Samitraditional handicraft as well as with areindeer herder’s family, beforesnowmobiling across frozen lakes. Returnto Korpikartano (3 to 4 hours). Dinner atthe hotel.DAY 3 DAY WITH A REINDEERHERDER Travel by sledge to localreindeer feeding grounds where we meeta local Sami herder, and help him feed hisherd in the wild and listen to his life andtimes, and those of his reindeer, aroundan open fire (4 hours). Dinner at the hotel.DAYS 4 -7 OPTIONAL ADVENTURESYou’re really spoilt for choice across thesedays with a plethora of activities to choosefrom. Not to be missed is a visit to Inari,the Sami cultural capital, the Museumthere and a visit to a Reindeer herder’shome on the way back. You can learn tocross country ski; take an adventure tripinto the wilderness by snowmobile; ski andsled; spend a guided night out in awilderness hut in the forest or on a fell orfish for perch and then cook your catchover an open fire. You can even take a tripto the edge of the Arctic Ocean travellingthrough the historic lands of Inari, Skoltand Northern Sami.
