Thedistance driven is around 30kms and thejourney covers the most perfect fellscenery with forests and frozen lakes.Afternoon at leisure.DAY 3 SNOW GAMES Cross country trailsstart from outside the hotel and its hereyour guide for the day will show you thebasics of his craft and take you for a shortguided trip suitable to your skill level.Lunch at the hotel followed by a similarexercise, only this time with snow shoes.DAY 4 REINDEER SAFARI Drive to atraditional Lapland Manor where our localreindeer herder's family has lived since the19th Century. There will be a short filmpresentation describing the importance ofreindeer in Lappish life before visiting thereindeer farm. At the farm you can try yourhand at lassoing before setting off in areindeer-pulled sleigh for a 3km safari.Lunch by an open fire in a traditionalLappish kota is included.DAY 5 HUSKY SAFARI After breakfastyour guide will take you to meet thehuskies and after a lesson in ‘mushing’ youset off on an exciting 17km tour throughthe snow clad forest driving your own dogteam.DAY 6 AT LEISURE Spend the day eitherjust relaxing by the lakeside or practisingyour newly acquired snow shoe skills.DAY 7 KITTILA – UK Breakfast and privatecar transfer to Kittila airport for scheduledFinnair flight(s) via Helsinki to Heathrow.JERIS HOTEL ANDCOTTAGESThe Jeris hotel, wood fired sauna, heatedindoor pools and illuminated ice pool sit onthe shoreline overlooking Lake Jerisjarvi withits cottages clustered on the sloping fell sidebehind.
