FIRES OF REVIVALC O N T I N U E Dlocation for the Holy Spirit to do His work. I receivedthis e-mail recently after such a prayer:“Thank you again for all your help. Not onlydid you teach me a few things, but you reinforcedmy strength to get through this. I spentthe night in my son's room armed with myBible and selected scripture, ready to defendand fight off what ever came in the night. But,praise God, nothing happened, but the firstgood night I believe my son has slept in years. Ican't begin to describe the happiness, joy andappreciation I have in my heart this morning. Iam glad to serve such an awesome God.”Evangelist Nathan Covington is a tenured evangelistin the Church of the Nazarene. Let meshare answers to prayer in that revival. A wife/mother came to the altar and received victory. After returning to her pew, a short time latershe came back to the altar topray about fear. Victory came. Then she said, “I need to putpeople on the altar.” Victorycame. Next, she said, “I needto put self on the altar.” Byfaith, self and every need were placed on thealtar and victory came. In the same service avisiting pastor’s wife was anointed and prayedfor concerning a lump on her hand. As the serviceprogressed, and people praised the Lord, something happened. She stood and testifiedthat suddenly the lump vanished from herhand.Revival is possible even after a 10 yearlapse, as was witnessed in Stinesville, Indianawith Rev. Lee, who had been pastor therefor 18 months. They had 40 days of focusedprayer for revival and God definitely revivedHis people. Pastor says that the spiritual levelof the church has risen and many are seeingbeyond the church walls. Prayer is becoming away of life and there is a stronger presence ofGod and His will. Revival is still possible.Pat Burkhalter is a tenured evangelist and song evangelistand travels with his wife, Donna, and their son Jonathan. For many years, the Burkhalters have traveled thenation preaching holiness and offering a spirit anointedmusic ministry.
