In hisfirst talk, Prof. Dr. Otofuji highlighted the applicationof paleomagnetism in the study of deformation of theShan-Thai Block at the eastern Himalayan Syntaxis.He presented paleomagnetic view that provides visualevidence for southeastward extrusion of Indochina duringindentation of India into Asia.
