Four More Years
For those seniors who
opted not to hit the job
hunt after graduation,
there were many options
available, one of which
was graduate school. Some
seniors looked to graduate
school and professional
schools to gain a more extensive
education before entering
the job market, whereas others
saw graduate school as an opportunity
to stay out of the
"real world" for another few
years.
One soul motivated enough
to brave the MCATs and medical
school admissions was
Dan Shoemaker, who will be
attending Thomas Jefferson in
the fall of 1995. Asked how
life in medical school would

be different from his life at
Delaware, Shoemaker replied
that it will be "a lot busier,
with a lot less sleep. A lot
more dependent on me.''
m/John Trochimowicz, aiming
for physical therapy
school, had a different view of
continuing education. His assessment
of the rigors of the
post-undergraduate life was
slightly more optimistic, as he
commented, "I'd like to be in
school the rest of my life. I
have no responsibilities. I go
to the gym and study. If you
have a real job, you have to
wake up in the morning and
stuff like that."
What better reason to stay
out of the real world?
