Teams travel <strong>to</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r schools andparishes throughout <strong>the</strong> diocese <strong>to</strong> play games. The basketball program is open<strong>to</strong> any interested girl or boy in grades 4-12 who is a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>Saint</strong> <strong>James</strong>Parish. Fee-based registration takes place near <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> September. Teams areformed and coaches are assigned in early Oc<strong>to</strong>ber, before start <strong>of</strong> practices laterin <strong>the</strong> month. Practices are scheduled twice a week. The Diocese <strong>of</strong> MetuchenCYM basketball league games are played on Saturdays beginning on <strong>the</strong> firstweekend in December through <strong>the</strong> middle <strong>of</strong> March. The program is designed <strong>to</strong>demonstrate Catholic values, teamwork, physical fitness, skill building and goodsportsmanship in a competitive setting.Gene Moretti • (908) 221-1766 • emoretti@att.comMoms and TotsFounded in 1985, Moms and Tots hosts weekly playgroups for mo<strong>the</strong>rs and<strong>the</strong>ir children, newborn through pre-school, <strong>to</strong> encourage constructive play andsocialization. The group meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00a.m. <strong>to</strong> 11:30 a.m. in <strong>the</strong> chapel audi<strong>to</strong>rium.
