This week of camp will provide camperswith the opportunity to work on their summer reading goals while enjoyingliterary texts with other peers. Campers will choose from a set of literary workswhich will be used to form a variety of book club groups. Time will be givenfor reading, discussion, and interactive activities which will assist in preparingthe final written summary required for the start of school. This camp focuses on more basicskills such as cutting, pasting, and a little bit of reading and writing. Of course,there is still plenty of running and jumping, lots of blaster practice, and don’tforget the lightsaber battles! We also incorporate important concepts from theJedi code, helping children learn that whatever galaxy you are in, patience isgood and being quick to anger can start you on the path to the Dark Sideof the Force. Children should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Alightsaber is required for this class.
