Thank you for supporting my son, Narayan, to enable him to attend a two-week intensive
therapy at ISTAR in Calgary. It would not have been possible without your support.
Narayan and I were very fortunate to spend two weeks with Elizabeth Haynes. Her high
degree of experience and careful skill helped inspire my son to work at creating fluency
skills. He feels confident and empowered to know that he has “tools” he can apply to help
him achieve fluency.
Now that we are back at home we are continuing to practice all the skills we learned at
ISTAR. This is part of the maintenance program which involves having therapy via Skype
(over the Internet) with Elizabeth Haynes every two weeks. We hope to return to ISTAR
for another intensive program with Elizabeth this summer.
I offer my deepest gratitude for all the effort and financial support that you gave to our family
to allow our son to have speech therapy at ISTAR. It is organizations like yours that
