Every day I love my job and I am so thankful to be working with, helping and learning from children with speech and language disorders. Meghan Braun - Master of Science in Speech- Language Pathology - McGill University (2010) Current position: Speech-Language Pathologist in a developmental center in Montreal, Quebec. I work with children with special needs (autism, down syndrome, global developmental delay, hearing impairments, apraxia of speech, fluency difficulties, etc.). I use a lot of alternative and augmentative communication with children who are non-verbal. Lauren Hulecki - Master of Science in Audiology - University of British Columbia (2009) Current position: Audiologist at Wild Rose Audiology Clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, working with pediatric and adult populations. B R I T I S H C O L U M B I A and I hope that I have lived up to their expectations and didn’t let them down. My theme was ‘Together We Can’ I feel that no one person can do what we do as an Organization. ‘Together We Can’ help children and families with their needs to have a better life. ‘Together We Can’ make a difference in our communities by volunteering to assist wherever we are needed. ‘Together We Can’ help to make Life Sweeter, People Better and the World Happier. This year the 99th Grey Cup is in Vancouver and we are planning on marching in the parade. I invite anyone Elks or Royal Purple who would like to march with us to ‘come on down’. This includes anyone from out of province that may be attending Grey Cup or would just like to come for the parade. We would love to have you. We are shooting for 99 members there for our 99 years of service. I would like to quote something our departed and good friend Brother Bob Baker said “We need to dedicate ourselves to using all our efforts and abilities to take the Elks on the road to revitalization and growth to ensure that we make it another 100 years”. As our 100th Anniversary approaches, as a Lodge let’s all take the time to do something in our community; let’s be in their faces so that they will begin to know who the Elks are. To the Presidents I would like to thank you for electing me as Chairperson of the Presidents Association. It was deeply an honor for me and remember I will get you!
