ARTICLE V — OFFICERSSection 1Chapter BylawsCHAPTER OFFICERSRequired officers shall be the President and President-elect. ThePresident-elect shall automatically succeed to the office of President atthe conclusion of the incumbent President’s term of office. ThePresident-elect shall be elected for a one-year term. (effective 10/05).Section 1A TERM LIMITSOfficers’ required qualifications and term limits are set forth in thePolicies.Section 2Section 3Section 4Section 5PRESIDENTThe President shall be the same person who served as President-elect inthe previous year. The President, as the chapter’s principal officer, shallpreside at chapter, Board, and meetings; appoint members to fill committeecommittee vacancies created during his term; create special task forces; bean ex-officio member of all committees and task forces, except theNominating Committee; and perform such other duties as may be requiredby the Board and as may be required to carry out the Strategic Plan.PRESIDENT-ELECTThe President-elect shall, in the absence of the President, exercise thepowers and perform the duties of the President. He/she shall also generallyassist the President and perform such other duties as shall be prescribedby the Board of Directors. President-elect shall also serve as chair to thestrategic planning committee.SECRETARY/BOARD MEMBER WITH ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHTThe Secretary shall keep all records of all meetings of the chapter andof the Board of Directors, issue notices of all such meetings, maintainor cause to be maintained the roll of membership, and perform all otherduties customarily pertaining to the office. The Secretary is not amandated position by these Bylaws. The functions of a Secretary may beperformed by the chapter office.DIRECTOR WITH FINANCIAL OVERSIGHTThis Director is responsible for receiving and depositing all chapterfunds, in the name of the chapter, in a bank or trust company selectedand approved by the Board of Directors. He/she is responsible for thepreparing of the chapter’s budget, making regular financial reports tothe Board of Directors, rendering an annual financial statement to thechapter membership and maintaining proper financial controls. He/sheshall perform all other duties incident to office. (effective 10/05).ARTICLE VI — NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONSSection 1 NOMINATING COMMITTEEThe chapter Nominating Committee each year shall be selected by theseated board and consist of:i.
