For all the earth shall be burned upwith the fire of My jealousy. 9 For then I will CHANGE the peoples to a Pure Language, tocall all of them by the Name of the Lord, to serve Me with one shoulder.Luke 18:9-14 9 And He spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that theywere righteous, and despised others: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one aPharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, Ithank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as thispublican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican,standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast,saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justifiedrather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbleshimself shall be exalted.”The Lord’s purpose for tithing has always been for the purpose of increasing the knowledge of theWays of the Words of God – the Ways of doing His Words to enable Him. For your reference, thelaw of God on tithing was given in Numbers 18:21-24. It was a 10% requirement for the house ofIsrael to give to the Levites so that the work of God can be accomplished in the Tabernacle. TheTabernacle was put in place by the Lord to teach the children of Israel the Way of the Lord.Everything about the Tabernacle was designed to incorporate the Ways of the Lord’s Word so thatthe people would gain knowledge in the promises of God and how to do the Way of His Words. Ihave explained this in other Writings. The entire Ways of the Tabernacle were designed so that thepriests would also be doing the Way of the Words so as to keep them in remembrance of the Wayof the Words of God. However, the priests turned this teaching tool into a series of performingworship traditions to garner wealth instead of seeking the knowledge of His Words.In addition to the 10% tithe of all things, the Lord gave Israel a second tithe requirement, a tithe ofincrease. The Law of this tithe is given in Deuteronomy 14:22-27. This tithe was a 10% tithe onthe increase above the year before. The Lord implemented this tithe as a Way of teaching thepeople the Way of doing the Words of God. The people were to take this tithe to the place wherethe Lord has established His Name (His Words), and they were to eat of it in front of Him. Thisteaches the people that they are honoring the Way of His great Name and they are asking the Lordto increase them in the knowledge of the Way of His Words so that they may have understanding togrow in increase to the Glory of His Name. If they could not transport the 10% increase, they wereto sell it and turn it into money so that they travel to where the place of His Name is located. Therethey were commanded to buy food with this tithe and eat it in front of the Lord. The 10% titheincrease was not to cover their travel costs, for the tithe was for a purpose of doing the Way of HisWords in the Way of His Words so that they would increase in knowledge. In Deuteronomy 14:23the Lord explains that the purpose of this tithe was to cause them to fear the Lord always. Men fearthe Lord by understanding the knowledge of His Works. The Works of God are to do the GoodWorks of the Promises of His Words.
