REPORT 2: SECRETARY OF LUTHERAN CHURCH–CANADA
Since the 2008 convention of Lutheran Church–Canada
the assignments given to the Secretary have been
carried out. These include recording the minutes of all
Board of Directors meetings, minutes of the Executive
Committee of the board, and the recording of the
minutes of the Commission on Constitutional Matters
and Structure. All correspondence from the board has
been sent to the appropriate recipients. Synod wide
notices have been sent out or published in The
Canadian Lutheran. The appropriate responses were
received and recorded.
Since this is my last term as a member of the Board of
Directors and thus as Secretary I would like to thank the
synod for the confidence shown in my meagre abilities.
I would also like to thank the members of the board for
their support and encouragement. President Bugbee and
the staff, including Rhonda Buck and Iris Barta, have
been especially helpful in assisting in my duties. It has
been an honour and privilege to have been of service to
our Lord, His Church and Lutheran Church–Canada for
the past six years. The synod can give thanks to God for
the dedication and devotion of the members of the
Board of Directors. I am blessed to have been a part of
it. Indeed as our theme for 2011 states, “In Your Light,
we see Light.”
May God bless our convention this year, and call forth
those He will place in positions of leadership.

REPORT 3: TREASURER OF LUTHERAN CHURCH–CANADA
Over the past three years Synod has been thankful to
receive your offerings in response to the many gifts
God has provided. The Lord has blessed your offerings
in the work we do together in many ways. Such as:
Synod is carrying on meaningful mission initiatives in
Nicaragua, Ukraine, Thailand, and Cambodia. In
addition to the primary objective of gospel
proclamation in these areas we are blessed to share the

love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the
endeavours of many social ministry programs.
Synod’s seminaries continue to train and form men for
the service of the Pastoral office in our home
congregations. Our Seminaries also provide
considerable support to the training and forming of
Pastors in our overseas mission fields.
