Naturally, I found every excuse to go next door!When he came to my Sweet 16 party, he gave me a card that said ‘I call dibs on you!’ It was my best gift as Iremember blushing with excitement and got butterflies in my tummy. Since I couldn’t really date until I was 16, hebecame my first boyfriend and first–and-only-love!”Nine years later, after spending time apart while Keri was in college and Shane was in dental school, Shane popped the big question.“Known for his impulsivity and spontaneity, Shane whisked me away on New Year’s Day for an evening alone,” Keri said. “When he pulled the card thathe gave to me on my Sweet 16 our of his bag, he dropped to one knee and said ‘I called dibs on you nine years ago, and now I’d like to make it official. Mark and I hit it off right away.”<strong>The</strong> pair had a long-distance relationship for about two years, but it didn’t work out. <strong>The</strong>y then got back togetherin September of 2009, and Mark proposed on New Year’s Eve morning.“On the morning of New Year’s Eve we were supposed to wake up at 7 a.m. to drive up to Epcot,” Tana said.“Mark woke up at 6:30 which caused me to wake up. He suggested that since we were awake we might as well godown to the beach and watch the sunrise. We walked up the beach a few steps, he turned toward me and smiled, then got down on one knee and asked meto marry him. Little did I know he had it planned this way the whole time.”Tana and Mark enjoy going to the gym and the beach, and going running together.<strong>The</strong>y will be married sometime in December on the beach.<strong>The</strong>y planto honeymoon in Europe.
