He would win three Australian Waterloo Cups (1906, 1907 and1909), the 1906 Derby and the 1906 and 1908 Grand Challenge.Only two had achieved such a feat before him, being Great Heart and his own sireBraddon’s Blot. Known to one and all as “Bully”, Bulwark would have won the 1908Waterloo Cup at Moonee Valley too except for a wayward hare.Bulwark was bred by the just as legendary Sam Bladon in 1904 at his Woodstockkennels. He was a black dog by Braddon’s Blot from Bloomer’s daughter Bloomee.The (October, 2007) Journal Page 12
