Tech Pet…Want an easy method of showing your friends your digitalphotographs without the hassles of sending them by email? Then do as I have done and upload and store them on theInternet using flickr. You can then let your friends have theURL (address) and they can then browse them at their leisure,or indeed run them as a slide show. The service is free (wouldI use it otherwise?) and initially you are given an allowance of20 megabytes per month; mine has just been raised to a 100megabytes so I must be doing something right. A fee is onlypayable if you want to upload an unlimited number ofphotographs, but one can squeeze a hell of a lot of picturesinto 20 MB.If you want to use the freebie you have to have a Yahooidentity before you can sign up for flickr, but this is easilyobtained from Yahoo.com and then you can start uploadingimmediately. If you want to have a preview, take a look at mymodest efforts so far by copying and pasting the followingURL into your Internet Browser.http://tinyurl.com/y9cjpmThis is one worthwhile program and one can spend hourslooking at what others have uploaded, most in the publicdomain, ie no copyright. For instance if you do a search onWalpole, flickr will come up with some 2080 photos althoughgranted, not all are of Walpole WA.Last time I checked there was something like 33 millionphotos in the data base. Who needs Clipart?Have lots of fun.till next time...FARMERS & BUSINESSESDO YOU NEED HOUSINGFINANCE?The Country Housing Authority is a State GovernmentAgency supporting rural and remote communities byproviding access to housing finance. We provide housing finance to farmers, retired farmers, ruralemployers, the self-employed and local governments toprovide flexible, tailored home loans that suit the needs oflocal communities. You can use your Country Housing Authority loan to build, buy, add or modernise your home.
