SOLO4 – ClearCam Deployable CameraThe Cobham Surveillance ClearCam systemis ideal for surveillance, perimeter security,fire control and CBRN applications. A robustPTZ camera designed specifically for rapiddeployment, the on board status display givesat-a-glance link status, confirming that theClearCam is in range of the receive station.This tactical system incorporates a periscopePTZ camera, digital video transmitter,telemetry receiver and battery technologyinto a weatherproof package for long termoutdoor deployment. The ClearCam willtypically operate at a range of up to 1km.The robust ClearCam chassis is IP66 rated, andsupplied with a variety of mounting optionsto enable tripod, mast or simple deploymenton the base. The integral periscope cameracan be detached from the ClearCam base,and is supplied with a 10m umbilical cable formaximum deployment flexibility.Integral battery life can be extended by theconnection of sensors to automatically wakethe camera from sleep mode in the event oftrigger activity.The Cobham Surveillance narrow bandwidthmodulation offers unprecedented spectrumefficiency, while increasing the systemsensitivity and range. SOLO4 – ‘DropCam’ TransmitterThe SOLO4 DropCam Transmitter is anintegrated rapid deployment wireless videosurveillance solution, integrating camera,microphone, user data, battery and digitalCOFDM transmitter into a single ruggedhousing. The DropCam is ideal for rapiddeployment surveillance scenarios such asevent or room monitoring or fire and safetyapplications. The COFDM modulator ensuresexcellent range even in mobile and non-lineof sight applications (typically 300-500m).The DropCam is available in a range offrequency bands from 300MHz to 6GHz andis supplied with interchangeable lenses (3mm,8mm and 16mm) to suit all applications.The rugged but lightweight IP66 chassisenables the unit to be used in prolongedoutdoor deployments, while tripod mountand magnetic mount fittings enable theSOLO4 DropCam Transmitter to bepositioned easily.The Transmitter can be mounted on standardbaton-style torches such as the Maglite byemploying the optional DropCam Torch ClipMount, creating an ideal solution for firstresponder and emergency services workers.The re-chargeable integral battery canpower the unit for 3 hours of continuoustransmissions.
