If you wish to use <strong>the</strong>default route from <strong>the</strong> server (setroute option), <strong>the</strong> user needs to erase <strong>the</strong> default route on <strong>the</strong>configuration.• One defined username and one <strong>PPPoE</strong> server only.Known Caveats in PIX OS Version 6.3• When <strong>PPPoE</strong> and OSPF are enabled and write memory is performed after an IP address is retrieved,<strong>the</strong> downloaded default route via <strong>PPPoE</strong> or DHCP is saved to <strong>the</strong> configuration. The workaround is toperform write memory before <strong>the</strong> address is downloaded from <strong>the</strong> <strong>PPPoE</strong> server.• The <strong>PPPoE</strong> setroute option, used to generate a default route, is not compatible with <strong>the</strong> OSPFdynamic routing protocol on <strong>the</strong> PIX firewall. The <strong>PPPoE</strong> generated default route is removed from <strong>the</strong>routing table when <strong>the</strong> "network" statement is configured under <strong>the</strong> OSPF process.
