Failure to do so may result in you not being shortlisted.Title of Post:Ward Sister/Charge NurseBand/ Grade of Post: Band 7Essential Criteria:Qualifications:Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC RegisterHave a Nursing Degree AND 3 years post-registration experience within acute servicesOrHave 5 years post-registration experience as a Band 5 including 3 years within acuteservices and have obtained a post-registration diploma or equivalent qualification.OrHave 5 years post-registration experience which must include a minimum of 2 years atBand 6 within acute servicesSkills and Knowledge:Provide evidence of continuous personal and professional development.Be conversant with current professional issues in relation to nursing.Ability to provide effective leadership to meet the needs of the post in full.Ability to effectively manage an operational team to ensure positive outcomes forpatients/clients.Provide evidence of maintaining and monitoring standards which have enhancedthe patient/client experience of care.Ability to influence and manage change, including the promotion of evidence basedpractice.Have effective communication skills to meet the needs of the post in full.Demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.9
