Conclusion:PakistaniIdentityandtheWestAfterthemassiveterroristattackofSeptember11,2001,theUnitedStatesdeclaredawaronterrorism.TheWaronTerrorcontinuestobefoughttoday,oftenconcentratedonAl‐QaedaanditsstrongholdsinAfghanistan.Yet,whatseemstobemissedbytheUnitedStatesanditswesternalliesisPakistan’scruciallinktothewaronterror.Pakistan’sinternalissuesremainunresolved.ThelackofaPakistaniidentityandPakistanisacceptanceintotheglobaljihadistmovement,asameansofidentity,shouldgreatlyconcernwesternstates.Moreover,thefactthatAmericancitizenswithPakistanirootsarenowjoiningthefightagainsttheUnitedStatesandthewestshouldbeattheforefrontofUnitedStatesforeignpolicyandtheWaronTerror.TherecentfoiledattackplannedbyFaisalShahzadexemplifiesPakistanisemergingpositionattheforefrontofterrorism.Today,themostnotableterroristthreatintheUnitedStatescomesfromradicalIslamicterrorism,specificallyPakistaniterror.TheseterroristsarenotonlyfromtheMiddleEast;severalofthemhaveUnitedStatescitizenshipandareangeredbytheUnitedState’scontinuedpressureonPakistantocontrolterroristcellswithinthecountry.PakistaniterrorismintheUnitedStatesisnotanewphenomenonandneedstobelookedatmoreclosely.OneofthefirstincidentsofPakistaniterrorismtranspiredin1993.ThreesignificanteventsoccurredthatwerefueledbyMuslimfanaticism.Firstly,onJanuary23,1993ashootingoccurredattheCentralIntelligenceAgency(CIA)headquartersinLangleyVirginia:“nearlyadecadeagoontraffic‐chokedChain47
