AppointmentSubject <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Act, <strong>the</strong> council appoints employees according<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> staffing policies <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> as determined in <strong>the</strong> rules.61. Conditions <strong>of</strong> employmentThe conditions <strong>of</strong> employment, including <strong>the</strong> determination andreview <strong>of</strong> salaries <strong>of</strong> employees and all o<strong>the</strong>r forms <strong>of</strong> remunerationare approved by <strong>the</strong> council according <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>’s policyas determined in <strong>the</strong> rules.62. Evaluation and developmentAll employees <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> are subject <strong>to</strong> continuousevaluation and development in <strong>the</strong> performance <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir duties.63. Employees’ disciplineEvery employee is subject <strong>to</strong> a disciplinary code, a disciplinaryprocedure and a grievance procedure for employees, asapproved by <strong>the</strong> council and determined in <strong>the</strong> rules, which serveas an integral part <strong>of</strong> every employee’s conditions <strong>of</strong> service.64. Collective agreementsCollective agreements as contemplated in terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> LabourRelations Act <strong>of</strong> 1995 (as amended) may be entered in<strong>to</strong> by <strong>the</strong>management.48
