APPENDIX C - Calibration ProceduresThe torque sensing spiral spring in the <strong>YR</strong>-1 Rheometer is calibrated at Brookfield to be accuratewithin ±2% of full scale range of a certified master viscometer. When checking calibration in thefield with a vane spindle (spindle 71, 72, or 73) using the following procedures, an accuracy of±2% of full scale range can be expected.The accuracy of the <strong>YR</strong>-1 is verified using viscosity standard fluids which are available fromBrookfield Engineering Laboratories or your local Brookfield agent. Viscosity standards areNewtonian and, therefore, have the same viscosity regardless of spindle speed.
