Hear<strong>in</strong>g concern<strong>in</strong>g temporaryremoval -- Iowa Code 232.95 cont.At the hear<strong>in</strong>g, the court may remove the childand place her <strong>in</strong> shelter care facility or <strong>in</strong> thecustody <strong>of</strong> a person or agency pend<strong>in</strong>g a f<strong>in</strong>alorder <strong>of</strong> disposition if the court f<strong>in</strong>ds thatsubstantial evidence exists to believe removal isnecessary to avoid imm<strong>in</strong>ent risk to the child’slife or health. The court must <strong>in</strong>form theparent’s that the consequences <strong>of</strong> a permanentremoval <strong>in</strong>clude term<strong>in</strong>ation <strong>of</strong> parental rights.
