Exemptions of paymentTo obtain a full or partial refund of the registration fee(excluding coursebook materials), you must present anappropriate attestation which at the time of the registrationmay be no older than 1 month.If you are registering online or if you are unable to providean attestation, you must first pay the full amount. If youthen provide the required certificate within two weeks ofregistration, the amount of the exemption will be refunded.Full refundYou are eligible for a full refund excluding the priceof coursebook materials if you can prove you are• on minimal income (OCMW attestation)• supported by someone who is on a minimal income(OCMW attestation and certificate from the registerof population)• seeking asylum and are receiving material help(OCMW attestation)• a detainee (declaration of the director of the penalinstitution)• entitled to unemployment benefits and are takinga course which is recognised by the VDAB(VDAB attestation)• applying for a job in a category which entitles you toa full exemption (VDAB attestation)Partial refundYou are eligible for a partial refund -excluding the priceof the coursebook if you can prove you• are a person with more than 66% disabilty and canpresent an attestation from Vlaams Agentschap voorPersonen met een Handicap• are a person with more than 66% incapacity and areentitled to an integration allowance• unemployed and entitled to reduced payment andare able to present a VDAB attestation to prove this• supported by someone who belongs to any of thegroups mentioned above (certificate from theregister of population)• have followed 2 consecutive years training in a centrefor basic education and if you did so for 120 teachingperiods immediately prior to the registration in anadult education centre35
