It is suggested that the LLCs ensure holding of statutory meetings inthe interest of PWDs.To make more and more LLCs active, the National Trust decided to increase the overall fundfrom Rs. 1,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- out of which State Government’s contribution will be Rs.20,000/-. Concerned LLC members are requested to follow up the matter with concernedstate government for its realization and participation in LLC functioning.Activities of the LLC can be increased with such additional grants for publicity material, provisionfor appointment of staff, organizing sensitization and public relation activities for motivationof parents and persons with disabilities and lastly for the monitoring activities and transportcosts for the committee for meeting, home visiting & other activities.THENATIONALTRUSTAccordingly, the National Trust requested all the State governments to make a contribution insaid fund. The effort bore results in 2007-08 with positive approach from various State/UTGovernments.
