SAMARTH - Centre Based SchemeSamarth - Center Based Scheme (CBS) was introduced in July, 2005. The Scheme is forresidential services - both short term (respite care) and long term (prolonged care). In addition,activities include: early intervention, special education or integrated school, open school, prevocationaland vocational training, employment oriented training, recreation, sports etc.. Thefacilities in the home shall be available to both males and females on 50-50% basis and shallcover all the four disabilities. It has provision for all income groups like lower income andbelow poverty line. This scheme shall be tapered off over a period of ten years.
