Velutina. MOLLUSCA. TROCHUSIDjE. 327— This speciesdiffers from the genus Phasianella, in which Dr Turton hasplaced it, by the absence of the lid ;and it differs likewise from the Velutina,in the aperture being partly filledby the projection of the body-whorl ; inthe body-lip being incomplete retrally, and in possessing an imperfect pillarlip. In the absence of the lid, the size of the body-whorl, and wideness ofthe aperture, it claims a place near Velutina, and should probably constitutea new genus.— Stylina.EXTINCT SPECIES.1.
