Then he was liberated and was allowedto return to Italy. His body was far away, but his soul wasalways in Albania, although he suffered a lot. In 1986was published in Italy the book “10 years of prison inAlbania.” After the restart of the church activities in Albania,Padre Giacomo Gardini turned back to serve againin the Albanian churches.
