The future of Christianity humanly speaking depends upon theChurch’s making the correct decision on this matter and, since thealternatives are in opposite directions, the wrong choice, if adopted bythe majority of the orthodox Church, could bring ruin upon it withfrightening rapidity.The correct view in the opinion of the writer, which is set forth atthe end of this study, is seen in the words of an Old Testament passagewhich is centered about the verse, 2 Chronicles 19:2. The situation seesJehu, God’s righteous prophet, rebuking Jehoshaphat, a man of God whoerred by forming an alliance with wicked Ahab, God’s enemy.Jehoshaphat aided the enemy of God and, despite his other righteousacts, this was a grave sin which harmed the Lord’s cause. This so wellfits the New Evangelicals of today who are wrongly cooperating withthe modernists while thinking to themselves that they are advancing thecause of Judah. May the words of God, spoken through the mouth ofJehu the separatist prophet, thunder in their ears and reach their hearts.8And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him,and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly,and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon theefrom before the LORD. Nevertheless there are good things foundin thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land,and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
