Becoming Aware ofBECOMING AWAREBy Jim SelfThere is occurring a shift in consciousness—ashift in the perception of how the worldexists. Many feel that something is not right,that something has been lost.In our rush to create more; the bigger house, better car,more salary, we have actually created less. We have createdless time to spend in our bigger house, less time toenjoy our family and friends, less opportunity to enjoythe sunset and the beauty that surrounds us. But what isreally concerning most of us, whether we are aware of itor not, is that we have been losing ourselves. More, biggerand faster at the end of the day is less-than or notenough. We are disconnected from what nourishes us.We are physically sick, emotionally unhappy, mentallyexhausted and spiritually unclear as to who we truly are.However, this is beginning to change; more of us arebeginning to shift. We are beginning to remember whowe are. We are recognizing this imbalance and askingourselves what is important. What makes me happy? Theanswer is not about having more of the world outside buthaving more of the “me” within. In our rush to the top,we have allowed parts of ourselves to become unimportant.We have traded respect for competition, kindnessfor advantage and giving for taking. We have lost trackof our “Inner Guidance” which always takes us to ahigher, more vibrant place. This higher place is wherecooperation, support and understanding create trust,friendship and compassion.This Shift is occurring within the Hearts of humanity.Millions are beginning to consciously awaken and theyare finding a new passion within. They are passionatelyrecognizing that who they are counts. I AM valuable,important and significant! I matter and I have a contributionto make.
