This includes statutory objections and commentssubmitted during the representation period. Members should not simply takeaccount of the numbers of people expressing a particular view whenconsidering representations made on proposals. Instead the Decision Makershould give the greatest weight to representations from those stakeholderslikely to be most directly affected by the proposals.The Council received two letters in response to the proposal to ‘amalgamate’the school and these are attached as Appendix 7. One of the responses wasopposed to the proposal, with one in support.Local Authority response to issues raised by interested partiesEach school will lose its individualityThe governing bodies of both St. Saviour's and Christ Church believe that:“It would be in the interests of both schools to build on closer cooperationachieved by federation by creating an amalgamated primaryschool.This would allow the school to take a holistic view of children'seducational, social, emotional and spiritual needs from the ages of 3 to11 years and plan and deliver high quality education which helps eachchild thrive and achieve to theirs fullest potential.20
