In another narration, the Prophet said,وَإِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ‏ آَلْبَكَ‏ فَاذْآُرِ‏ اسْمَ‏ االلهِ،‏ فَإِنْ‏ أَمْسَكَ‏ عَلَيْكَ،‏ فَأَدْرَآْتَهُ‏حَيا فَاذْبَحُهُ،‏ وَإِنْ‏ أَدْرَآْتَهُ‏ قَدْ‏ قَتَلَ‏ وَلَمْ‏ یَأْآُلْ‏ مِنْهُ‏ فَكُلْهُ،‏ فَإِن َّ أَخْ‏ ‏َذالْكَلْبِ‏ ذَآَاتُهIf you send your hunting dog, then mentionAllah's Name and whatever it catches for you andyou find alive, slaughter it. If you catch the gamedead and the dog did not eat from it, then eatfrom it, for the dog has caused its slaughter to befulfilled.In yet another narration of two Sahihs, the Prophetsaid,فَإِنْ‏ أَآَلَ‏ فَلَا تَأْآُلْ،‏ فَإِن ِّي أَخَافُ‏ أَنْ‏ یَكُونَ‏ أَمْسَكَ‏ عَلى نَفْسِهIf the dog eats from the game, do not eat from itfor I fear that it has caught it as prey for itself.Mention Allah's Name Upon Sending the Predators to Catchthe GameAllah said,فَكُلُواْ‏ مِم َّا أَمْسَكْنَ‏ عَلَيْكُمْ‏ وَاذْآُرُواْ‏ اسْمَ‏ اللّهِ‏ عَلَيْهِ‏ ...وَات َّقُواْ‏ اللّهَ‏ إِ‏ َّن اللّهَ‏ سَرِیعُ‏ الْحِسَا ‏ِب ﴿٤ ﴾so eat of what they catch for you, but pronounce theName of Allah over it,meaning, upon sending it.The Prophet said to `Adi bin Hatim,إِذَا أَرَسَلْتَ‏ آَلْبَكَ‏ الْمُعَل َّمَ،‏ وَذَآَرْتَ‏ اسْمَ‏ االلهِ،‏ فَكُلْ‏ مَا أَمْسَكَ‏ عَلَيْكWhen you send your trained dog and mentionAllah's Name, eat from what it catches for you.It is recorded in the Two Sahihs that Abu Thalabahrelated that the Prophet said,39......
