الْيَوْمَ‏ أُحِل َّ لَكُمُ‏ الط َّي ِّبَتُ‏5:5 Made lawful to you this day are At-Tayyibat.وَطَعَامُ‏ ال َّذِینَ‏ أُوتُواْ‏ الْكِتَبَ‏ حِل ٌّ ل َّكُمْ‏ وَطَعَامُكُمْ‏ حِل ٌّ ل َّهُمْ‏The food of the People of the Scripture is lawful toyou, and your food is lawful to them.وَالْمُحْصَنَتُ‏ مِنَ‏ الْمُؤْمِنَتِ‏ وَالْمُحْصَنَتُ‏ مِنَ‏ ال َّذِینَ‏أُوتُواْ‏ الْكِتَبَ‏ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ‏ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُن َّ أُجُورَهُ‏ َّنمُحْصِنِينَ‏ غَيْرَ‏ مُسَافِحِينَ‏ وَلاَ‏ مُت َّخِذِى أَخْدَا ‏ٍن(Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women fromthe believers and chaste women from those whowere given the Scripture before your time when youhave given them their due, desiring chastity, notillegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them asgirlfriends (or lovers).وَمَن یَكْفُرْ‏ بِالإِیمَنِ‏ فَقَدْ‏ حَبِطَ‏ عَمَلُهُ‏ وَهُوَ‏ فِى الا ٌّخِرَةِ‏ مِنَ‏الْخَسِرِینَ‏And whosoever rejects faith, then fruitless is hiswork; and in the Hereafter he will be among thelosers.Permitting the Slaughtered Animals of the People of the BookAfter Allah mentioned the filthy things that He prohibited for Hisbelieving servants and the good things that He allowed forthem, He said next,Made lawful to you this day are At-Tayyibat.41الْيَوْمَ‏ أُحِل َّ لَكُمُ‏ الط َّي ِّبَاتُ‏ ...
