Alternativelythe circuits would have to be intrinsically safe.The new multi purpose terminal employs a2-step removal process to ensure that possiblehigh energy sparks will be kept inside the flameproof enclosure of the terminals. The red removallever of the terminals (see photo) separatesthe electrical circuits. The metal pins of themodule remain within the flame proof area untilthe module is removed manually.
