<strong>Identification</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Candidates</strong> <strong>Policy</strong>1 <strong>Policy</strong> Statement1.1 In accordance with its statutory obligations as an Awarding Organisation, the <strong>Royal</strong><strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Dance</strong> (RAD) Examinations Board takes reasonable steps to ensurethe correct and accurate identification <strong>of</strong> all examination candidates.2 Approved Examination Centre Examinations2.1 In signing the AEC1 entry form, and in accordance with the conditions <strong>of</strong> entrystipulated in Examinations Information, Rules and Regulations, the Applicantagrees to ensure the identity <strong>of</strong> the candidate at the time <strong>of</strong> the examination.3 RAD Approved Venue Examinations3.1 All candidates are required to show valid photographic identification when signingin on the day <strong>of</strong> the examination.Any <strong>of</strong>ficial documentation which includes photographic ID may be used such as:• Passport• Driving Licence• Student Union Card• Travel Pass• ID Card etc.3.2 <strong>Candidates</strong> who do not possess valid photographic ID must instead complete an‘RAD Photographic ID Form’, including a current photograph <strong>of</strong> the candidate andthe signature <strong>of</strong> the Applicant, and present this in place <strong>of</strong> photo ID.3.3 The Examination Attendant must note on the daysheet whether or not thecandidate has produced the required documentation, and what form thedocumentation takes.3.4 If photographic evidence is not produced by the candidate on the day <strong>of</strong> theexamination, they may take their examination but should submit theirdocumentation to the relevant RAD Office immediately after the examination.3.5 The RAD reserves the right to withhold the result if photographic evidence is notprovided.RAD Examinations Board<strong>Identification</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Candidates</strong> <strong>Policy</strong> – May 2012Page 1 <strong>of</strong> 2


4. ResponsibilitiesThe Examinations Operations Manager is responsible for the management andthe annual review <strong>of</strong> the policy.The Director <strong>of</strong> Examinations is responsible for signing-<strong>of</strong>f all policies.5. Monitoring and Review5.1 This policy will be monitored by the Examinations Quality Assurance Committee,which is chaired by the Director <strong>of</strong> Examinations.6.
