Any student whohas entered an RAD Vocational Exam is eligible to enter. Scholarships are offered from Intermediate Foundation to Solo Seal.BackgroundKathleen Gorham was a dedicated Australian ballerina and a compelling, inspirational teacher. Her knowledge and expertisewas given openly, containing a fiery passion that only true artists possess. Ballet lovers, students and professionals mournedher untimely passing in 1983. To recognise her enormous contribution to dance in Australia, the RAD Victorian TasmanianAdvisory Panel founded the Kathleen Gorham Scholarship. This has now become an annual event to encourage andpromote young, focused Victorian RAD trained dancers.Format• Students are asked to arrive 30 mins before the warm-up barre..• The format includes a warm up/barre in studio 2, which will not be adjudicated or open for viewing by an audience.However this is compulsory for all entrants. No one other than the candidates will be allowed into the dressingrooms/warm up studio area.• The adjudicated scholarship class will be held in studio 1 and an audience will be allowed to view this class. Please donot bring small children who are unable to sit quietly for at least 45 minutes.• Tickets will be sold on the day for $10 per person which includes a souvenir program and tea/coffee. This event is soldas ‘General Admission’ i.e. no reserved seats.• Each level will be adjudicated and awards presented at the completion of the class.
