academic difficulties arising as a direct result of a sexual assault on the student by any <strong>ITT</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Institute</strong>student or employee occurring at any of the school’s facilities.SOLICITINGIn the interest of all students, faculty and staff, no outside solicitation whatsoever is permitted in theclassroom or laboratory, regardless of the reason, without the express consent of the school Director.<strong>STUDENT</strong> ACTIVITIESThe school encourages student activities that develop individual initiative, group leadership, and cooperation.It is a goal of the school to provide students with the opportunity to participate in activities that relate tovocational objectives, satisfy social needs, provide recreational opportunities, and encourage culturalenrichment. School-related student activities must be sanctioned and supervised by the school. Studentsshould contact the Dean regarding activities in which they would like to participate.<strong>STUDENT</strong> BODY DIVERSITY<strong>ITT</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> provides information about Student Body Diversity in the “Disclosure - Student BodyDiversity” which can be found in the Appendix attached hereto.<strong>STUDENT</strong> COMPLAINT/GRIEVANCE PROCEDUREPlease see the Student Handbook Appendix for information on the school’s Student Complaint/GrievanceProcedure, and the Enrollment Agreement for information on the Resolution of Disputes procedure, withrespect to any complaint or dispute that may arise between a student and the school. The StudentComplaint/Grievance Procedure and Resolution of Disputes procedure are also published in the SchoolCatalog, which is posted electronically on the portal at http://www.itt-tech.edu, and is also available from yourschool Director.<strong>STUDENT</strong> ENTRYStudents must only enter and exit the school through the designated student entry doors. The lobby entranceis only for the use of guests and visitors.<strong>STUDENT</strong> LOUNGE/BREAK AREAThe student lounge/break area is provided for the students’ convenience and enjoyment before and after classand during break periods. It is the student’s responsibility to keep this area as neat as possible. Please use thetrash receptacles to dispose of candy wrappers, drink containers and other refuse. If smoking is permitted inan outside break area, please use the ashtrays to dispose of cigarettes.Your help in keeping the school neat and clean is expected and appreciated.34
