A Message from thePresident/ChairpersonOctober 2013Dear Friends:Welcome to the 37 th annual celebration of ItalianHeritage and Culture Month. This year the Board ofDirectors of the Italian Heritage and Culture Committee,New York, Inc. has selected as its theme: “2013:Year of Italian Culture in the United States.”We join with Italian Americans to celebrate this specialyear. We are confident that the various organizationswhich historicallly recognize Italian Americansduring the month of October will especially thinkabout the important contributions to our heritage andculture.At this time, I thank all who have suggested andprepared the final work towards the various posters,bookmarks, pamphlets, and solicitation of programsfor the booklet of activities for the year 2013, allof which can be found as well on our web site. Ourpublications are provided through the generosity ofbenefactors, among which are the Columbus CitizensFoundation, the Office of the Consulate General ofItaly in New York, and many other individuals andcontributors.During these challenging economic times, we aremost appreciative of the response by those individualswho have generously contributed to the developmentof our materials as well, to the overwhelminglargesse by our sponsors whose ads are includedwithin. For without their financial support, we mightnot have been able to produce such a comprehensiveview of all the many activities for Italian Heritage andCulture Month, 2013.3
