ITALIAN HERITAGE AND CULTURECOMMITTEE OF NEW YORK, INC.Mission StatementThe mission of the Italian Heritage and Culture Committee,New York, Inc. (IHCC-NY, Inc.) is to:• Heighten public awareness of Italian heritageand culture;• Coordinate sponsorship of programs that celebrateItalian heritage and culture;• Sponsor annually the Italian Heritage andCulture Month activities;• Promote the study of Italian language andculture among all ethnic groups;• Engender pride in Italian Americans regardingtheir own heritage; and• Encourage positive portrayals of ItalianAmericans in the media and with the generalpublic.Vision StatementThe Italian Heritage and Culture Committee of NewYork, Inc. will conduct, sponsor and/or participate inactivities throughout the year, with special emphasison the celebration of Italian Heritage and CultureMonth.The vision of the IHCC-NY, Inc. is to be a dynamicorganization in the Italian American community thatwill collaborate on and foster an appreciation of Italianand Italian American contributions to the world.The IHCC-NY, Inc. will:• Solicit funds to carry out its mission and fulfillits vision;5
