Of the state’s 35 public airports, 8 offercommercial airline service, with the remaining offering general aviation airfields, among additional support services.11
ClimateWest Virginia enjoys four distinct seasons. Depending on where you visit, the seasons can differ dramatically. In the low-lyingareas and valleys, including the western regions of the state and the Eastern Panhandle, winters are quite mild and summers warm.In the central, more mountainous areas of the state (particularly, the Potomac Highlands), winters are much colder, with greateramounts of snow, and summers are pleasant and mild. The statewide average high temperature in July is in the high 70s, while inJanuary, temps in the mid-30s are average.
