Still, other printing techniquesor special effects may be applicable occasionally to heed the interest of collectors, philatelistsand, of course, Ålanders in general. This year, it is time for an engraved stampto be issued. Engraving is a rare type of printing technique for Åland Post, since it hasonly been used for 10 of 295 Åland stamps issued. For that reason we dare say that thestamp The Man at the Wheel will be this year’s most magnificent stamp. The use of thistechnique also gives us the opportunity to offer our customers interesting side productssuch as black prints and special graphic sheets.
