sWimminG and reCreation<br />
This long and sandy beach is great for swimming or relaxing. Asphalt paths down<br />
to the beach allow wheelchair access. Football pitch, trail with exercise stations,<br />
good fishing spots, picnic areas and barbecues. Plenty of parking. The beach is<br />
situated on Fustvatn lake, about 15 km north of Mosjøen.<br />
boWlinG<br />
There’s a good bowling facility with six bowling lanes at Mosjøen Camping,<br />
just 1.5 km from the town centre. www.mosjoencamping.no<br />
kippermoen sports Centre<br />
Facilities offered include tennis courts, a skateboard bark, a climbing<br />
wall and exercise rooms. During the winter, there is an ice skating rink<br />
and snow-sledding park – and in addition there are prepared ski tracks<br />

mosåsen reCreational area<br />
This excellent hiking area is very close to the town of Mosjøen. A<br />
40-minute walk takes you to a lake where there is a good fishing pier<br />
and a floating pier for visiting boats. Much of this path is asphalt and<br />
adapted for wheelchair users. Throughout the area are a number of<br />
well-marked hiking trails.<br />
HikinG<br />
Amongst the most popular destination for town residents are Øyfjellet<br />
and Varden, as well as Marsøra, Dolstadåsen and Mosåsen. Further details<br />

There are many places in Mosjøen and the surrounding district that<br />
are great for bicycling. You can rent bicycles at Bredesen Sykkelservice,<br />

fisHinG<br />
The shore rocks along route Fv78 offer great fishing in the fjord. We regret that river<br />
fishing is not possible in Vefsn, because the rivers have been treated with rotenone to<br />
eliminate a salmon parasite.<br />
