On Your Bike
On Your Bike is a series of
three free events produced
by Charity Shop DJ and run
by Derby Live and partners,
offering an eclectic mix
of live programming and
a quirky take on the the
Olympic and Paralympic
Games through the
use of bicycle power.
Saturday 18 August
is Film Day, a cocktail
of film, theatre and
live music featuring
Lostboys Productions
and Sinfonia ViVA.
On Saturday 25 August
Market Place will be
brought to life with sports
demonstrations, displays
and opportunities to
get involved. Finally,
Interdependence Day on
Sunday 9 September will
celebrate the closing of the
Olympic and Paralympic
Games with a pedal
powered party performed
by the people of Derby.

Bandstand
Marathon
2012 will see the largest Bandstand
Marathon to date, a truly national
event linking local communities
with London 2012 and the
handover celebrations to Brazil.
Bandstands all over the region are
signing up all the time, so check the
website for a perfect way to while away
the final Sunday of the Olympic and
Paralympic Games. Come along to any
