On Your Bike is a series of<br />
three free events produced<br />
by Charity Shop DJ and run<br />
by Derby Live and partners,<br />
offering an eclectic mix<br />
of live programming and<br />
a quirky take on the the<br />
Olympic and Paralympic<br />
Games through the<br />
use of bicycle power.<br />
Saturday 18 August<br />
is Film Day, a cocktail<br />
of film, theatre and<br />
live music featuring<br />
Lostboys Productions<br />
and Sinfonia ViVA.<br />
On Saturday 25 August<br />
Market Place will be<br />
brought to life with sports<br />
demonstrations, displays<br />
and opportunities to<br />
get involved. Finally,<br />
Interdependence Day on<br />
Sunday 9 September will<br />
celebrate the closing of the<br />
Olympic and Paralympic<br />
Games with a pedal<br />
powered party performed<br />
by the people of Derby.<br />

Bandstand<br />
Marathon<br />
2012 will see the largest Bandstand<br />
Marathon to date, a truly national<br />
event linking local communities<br />
with London 2012 and the<br />
handover celebrations to Brazil.<br />
Bandstands all over the region are<br />
signing up all the time, so check the<br />
website for a perfect way to while away<br />
the final Sunday of the Olympic and<br />
Paralympic Games. Come along to any<br />
