A quick-connect harness and color-codedwires simplify connections.IntelligenceThe CRRS-MODA’s design is flexible to accommodatevirtually any application. The CRRS-MODA iscompatible with both 2 and 4-wire <strong>i3</strong> series detectorsoperating over 12V and 24V systems. The module canbe used with either bell/alarm, alarm relay, or NACoutputs, and its field-selectable switch accommodatesboth coded and continuous alarm signals.Instant InspectionTo meet fire alarm requirements, the CRRS-MODAactivates all <strong>i3</strong> sounders on a loop when one alarms.Additionally, the CRRS-MODA synchronizes the outputof the <strong>i3</strong> sounders, regardless of whether the panel’salarm signal is continuous or coded, to ensure a clearalarm signal.Engineering SpecificationsReversing relay/synchronization module shall bea an <strong>i3</strong> <strong>Series</strong> model number CRRS-MODA, listedto Underwriters Laboratories as a smoke detectoraccessory. The module shall allow all 2-wire and4-wire <strong>i3</strong> <strong>Series</strong> detectors equipped with a sounder ona loop to sound when one alarms. The module shallprovide a switch to toggle between coded mode andcontinuous mode. When in coded mode, the moduleshall synchronize the <strong>i3</strong> sounders on the loop to mirrorthe input signal. When in continuous mode, the moduleshall synchronize the <strong>i3</strong> sounders on the loop to theANSI S3.41 temporal coded pattern. In either codedor continuous modes, the CRRS-MODA module shallpermit sounders to be silenced at the panel.
