Park RenovationsPlease excuse our dust!The City has renovations underway at Brookshire Park andplanned for Apollo and Furman Parks.Brookshire Park renovation is currently underway and isexpected to conclude by July. The renovation includes anew playground, walking trail, and benches. Furman Parkwalking trail will be renovated and Apollo Park will have anew walking trail constructed. Water activities, sports, games and crafts will beoffered at the park sites listed below. Parents are welcome to stopby and meet the Recreation Leaders supervising at each site. Note:All programs are closed on days of inclement weather. Childrenare encouraged to stay at the park but are free to come and go atany time. The staff is not responsible for children who choose toleave the park. The park program is closed on Friday, July 4th.Beginning Monday, June 23 at 12 noon, parents can register atone of the parks listed below to reserve a spot, spaces are limited.A detailed schedule of activities is available at the parks or theParks and Recreation Department.The Summer events, trips will be offered to the” Let’s Go Play”registered youth. Picnic in the Park is $2.00 per child, a trip to theSpace Center $5.00 per child, the Pool Trip is $5.00 per child andSplash Day is $3.00 per child.
