Itencompasses structure <strong>and</strong> function of selected organs systems <strong>and</strong> systems of thehuman body. The focus of this second course is on the cardiovascular, respiratory,digestive, endocrine, immune, urinary <strong>and</strong> reproductive systems. Additionally, thebiochemistry of energy production <strong>and</strong> metabolism are discussed.Remark: This course together with BSC 1085 provides the foundation <strong>for</strong> an underst<strong>and</strong>ing of thehuman body. Most students taking this course plan a career in health care. To anyone planning towork in the health field this class will be the background to a deeper underst<strong>and</strong>ing about yourself<strong>and</strong> your patients.
