Power“Designing & Building Success”Martin Next Generation Solar Energy CenterFlorida Power & LightIndiantown, FloridaLauren was selected as the EPC contractor to build a 75 MW power generating facility inIndiantown, FL - the largest-capacity solar thermal plant to be built in the last two decades and thesecond largest in the world. The project was located on 500 acres of land adjacent to FPL’s MartinPlant. Using Parabolic Trough Technology to capture heat from the sun, this project includedapproximately 190,000 parabolic mirrors, generating 155,000 MWh of power annually – enough powerfor 11,000 homes or 26,000 people.
