Power“Designing & Building Success”Cogeneration Unit AdditionSid Richardson Carbon & Energy Co.Big Spring, Texas<strong>Lauren</strong> was responsible for the engineering design, equipment procurement specification andcontract administration for a 24 MW electricity generating plant utilizing a Rentech Waste Heat Boiler,Siemens ST 3-C Steam Turbine Generator and Marley Air Cooled Condenser. This project involvedinstallation of a cogeneration unit at Sid Richardson Carbon Company’s Big Spring Carbon Black Plant,located in Big Spring, TX. The waste heat boiler utilizing flue gas from the incinerator was used toprovide steam to the 24 MW turbine-generator.
