Measuring PrincipleLaser MeasurementThere are two measuringprinciples to choose from,depending on the productstructure, installation area anddesired results.Both principles use automaticcalibration systems, whichensure constant measuringaccuracy.Contact MeasurementHigh-precision rollers contactthe material and convertthickness variations into verticalmotion within the transducer.By means of an optical elementinside the heads, themeasurement is effected in anon-contact way.The measuring heads areinstalled in pairs, opposite eachother above and below thepanel to ensure accuratemeasurements, even duringbending or vertical movementof the panel.To protect the measuring headsagainst possible mechanicaldamage, they are equippedwith relatively big rollers and thetop heads have special inclinedinlet rails to avoid damagethrough big blisters.A laser beam is projected ontothe material to be measuredand a change in thicknesschanges the angle of thereflected laser beam.
